Once a scar has formed, it is important to keep the area moisturised and protected from sun exposure to avoid the risk of the scar becoming discoloured. For best results, the scar should be covered with the silicone product for as much of the day as possible. For scars exposed to sunlight, it is important to choose a product containing SPF, or alternatively a silicone patch that covers the area properly.

Most of our products should be used for at least 8–12 weeks to achieve the best results.

Epi-derm silicone plasters should remain on the treatment area for at least 12 hours a day. The other products should be reapplied throughout the day and whenever they come into contact with water.
